Our pasture-raised chickens spend a significant portion of their lives outdoors in a pasture, where they can forage for plants, insects, and worms in a natural environment.

Why they’re considered better for you:

  1. Nutritional Benefits: Pasture-raised chickens often have higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins A and E, and beta-carotene. The varied diet they consume in the pasture contributes to these nutritional enhancements.
  2. Lower Stress Levels: Chickens raised in more natural, spacious environments tend to have lower stress levels, which can improve the overall quality of the meat.
  3. No Antibiotics: These chickens are less likely to be given antibiotics routinely, as their healthier living conditions can reduce the risk of disease.
  4. Taste: Many people find that pasture-raised chicken has a richer, more robust flavor compared to conventionally raised chicken.

These benefits make pasture-raised chickens a popular choice for those who prioritize health, animal welfare, and taste in their food. 🐔🌿

There is no question that pasture raised chickens from a small farm cost more than what you’ll find in a box store. However, I feel that the benefits outweigh the costs and the taste is unapparelled.

If pasture raised chicken is something that you’d like to try please fill out this form, just letting me know how many birds you would want. I plan to stay with last years prices unless the avian flu strikes again and makes getting day old chicks impossible or costly. $3.50 per pound, so a whole 6-pound bird would be $21.
